| Draft weekend
has been and gone and New England remain 8/1 to retain
their Super Bowl crown.
With the luxury of two first round picks, the Pats
snapped up DT Vince Wilfork and TE Ben Watson as
the build-up to the new season begins to pick up
some momentum even at this early stage.
San Diego, who earned the first selection courtesy
of the worst record last season, chose quarterback
Eli Manning but eventually traded him to the New
York Giants for QB Philip Rivers, a third round
pick plus picks in next year's draft.
They remain 80/1 chances while it could be the
end of the road at the 50/1 Giants for current QB
Kerry Collins, who is set to earn $8 million this
year and may well be shipped out.
Arizona remain rank outsiders at 150/1 despite
adding to their exciting receiving corps thanks
to third overall pick Larry Fitzgerald.
